iPads4Autism is excited to be part of the Easter Seals of Greater Houston family as a program under BridgingApps, which is an Easter Seals initiative that focuses on bridging the gap between technology and people with disabilities.

Through the relationship between BridgingApps and iPads4Autism, iPads and other similar devices, with the most appropriate applications that benefit children and adults with autism and other disabilities, are available for distribution as received by the iPads4Autism program.

As a new program, iPads4Autism is still gathering information, developing distribution procedures, recruiting sponsors and cultivating donors. To make the most impact while completing program plans for our first year, iPads4Autism has set a goal of distributing 50 iPads or similar devices for 2012 to qualified clinics and schools in the greater Houston area. If you use an iPad to help your child, please let us know your story. These stories help parents, educators and therapist learn new strategies for using the iPad and promote the iPad as a necessary educational tool for autistic and special needs children and adults.
